Multilingualism is a key feature of the Online Atlas which will be taken into account at every step of the development. The dynamic storage of the language elements see to it that the application is also experienced by other cultures.

flashMapped - Multilingual anytime

Through the strict separation of language elements and functionality in accordance with the I18N, a translation of flashMapped into other languages is always possible.
No language specific elements exist within the application as these are saved solely in external files. The use of the UTF-8 character encoding in these files also allows for the implementation of most current alphabets and lettering systems, thus, not only can the Latin lettering and Arabic numerals be used, but also, for example, the Arabic, Greek, Cyrillic, Korean, and Thai script.

The application deploys Bitmap-fonts, which allow for a sharp look without anti-aliasing, and that's what's rounding off the whole picture.
