Your statistical data can have very different visualisation requirements however, regardless of which of the following depictions you choose, flashMapped will adopt the correct Cartographic and Statistical legend.
This legend is a guide for your customers through the map, and thus, through your data.

At the moment the following cartographic depictions have been implemented.

- Choropleth with definable colour scales:
For classified relative values (e.g. Population/km²).
- Symbol View:
Absolute values (e.g. Population).
You can choose between circles, squares, and triangles as symbols. Positive and negative values will be divided by colour.
- Pie charts:
Fractional values (e.g. Political Party distribution).
